Volunteer

Volunteers at the Mennello Museum of American Art support our staff by aiding with special events, workshops and guided tours, which strengthen visitor engagement in the arts, reinforce community experience, and expand our mission and vision of educational outreach.

We always have opportunities to help and we are in most need of docents, individuals who want to learn and teach about visual art!

Docents empower visitors by dynamically guiding groups of about 25 individuals (all ages and abilities) through one or more of our permanent or traveling exhibition galleries as well as our sculpture garden. They engage viewers to experience art by employing active discussion and exciting visuals. Moreover, docents can inspire visitors by leading small-scale art projects associated with aspects of artistic techniques, subjects, or media all through following tour philosophy, logistics, and methodologies
