to Sunday, May 18, 2025 | 04:30 PM
Showcasing the work of Floridaʼs original artistic influencers, this exhibit brings together three of the stateʼs seminal painters – Mernet Larsen, Steve Lotz, and Bruce Marsh– artists who have had a profound impact on the Central Florida art scene and inspired generations in their roles as professors. Larsen depicts monumentalized memories of geometric figures, landscapes, and objects compacted into proportional, non-organic configurations. Lotz is a self-described Organic Imaginative artist whose paintings represent the visual symbology of his unconscious self. Marsh is a naturalistic painter interested in the drama of seeing through light and shadow in both natural and human-made landscapes. Together, the artists are part of an era of pioneering mentorship and an artistic practices that endure.
