For 2008, An Evening with Fabulous Friends took place once again at the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes resort in Lake Buena Vista on February 9th at 6:00 PM. John and Rita Lowndes of Winter Park were chosen as this year's honorees. The event featured Asian-inspired decor and cuisine. In addition, Matsuriza - the Japanese Taiko drum ensemble from Epcot - provided live entertainment. Cocktails, live and silent auctions, and an awards ceremony rounded out the evening.

The Museum's Gala for 2007, An Evening with Fabulous Friends, was held on February 3rd, 2007 at 6:00 PM. The Gala was held at the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes resort in Lake Buena Vista. The event included a cocktail reception, hors d'oeuvres, live and silent auctions, a gourmet dinner, and a performance by The Capitol Steps.
