explores the wide range of overseas venues and people depicted by American
artists in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Included are works by
artists Mary Cassatt, Frank Duveneck, William Merritt Chase, Robert Henri,
George Luks and John Marin.

This selection of twenty paintings and sculptures demonstrates that a work
of arts does not need to be large in size to speak volumes. Included are
works by Thomas Moran, Charles DeMuth, Arthur G. Dove, Hayley Lever, and
Guy Wiggins.

James Audubon: American Artist and Naturalist

Drawn from
the collections of the John James Audubon Museum, Henderson, Kentucky,
the exhibit will include paintings, original lithographs by Havel and
Harlan and ephemera.

circulated by the Audubon Museum and Art Services 2000.

October 14, 2005 – March 6, 2006
The
exhibit selected from the permanent collection of the Fenimore Art
Museum will include works by Thomas Cole, Frederic Church, Albert
Bierstadt, Asher B. Durand, and others. The paintings will explore how
each of these artists expressed very personal and sometimes emotional
responses to the Hudson River. Curated by Paul D'Ambrosio, Chief
Curator, Fenimore Art Museum and Frank Holt, Executive Director, The
Mennello Museum of American Art.

Selections from the permanent collection
April 22 - September 18, 2005
The
exhibit will feature portraits and landscape paintings by major American
artists from the late 19th and early 20th century. Works by Lilla Cabot
Perry, John White Alexander, John Sloan, and Rockwell Kent will be
shown. The exhibit is comprised of a selection of paintings from the
private and public collections of Marilyn L. and Michael A. Mennello,
The Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art, University of Florida, and Berry-Hill
Galleries, Inc., New York.

The Carved World of Ron Lloyd
April 22 – June 26, 2005
A
self-taught carver, Ron has created an impressive body of work that
depicts underwater life of fresh/salt water creatures. The highly
detailed wood images are a direct result of close observation and an
affinity for the subject. Ron is an avid fisherman and his interests are
reflected in the carvings.

George Bellows November 2, 2007 - February 24, 2008
Regarded as one of the greatest early
20th century painters, George Bellows was a consummate observer of
the American experience. The portraits, seascapes, and landscapes
featured in this exhibition will afford a rare glimpse of America as
it entered the modern age.
